De-Addiction Treatment at Nasha Mukti Kendra In Punjab
The De-addiction treatment at Jeevandaan Foundation is categorized into four phases.
Detoxification:-
It’s the first and most vital stage. This stage imbibes the importance of self-love, self-motivation and the courage to say ‘NO’ to alcohol. It involves learning self-healing through different techniques such as yoga, meditation, which further restores peace in an individual’s mind. This enables a person to reflect upon himself and his inner calling. This entire process forms a pre-requisite for further treatment. Once the self-healing detoxifies the mind and soul, the body follows.
Medication:-
Medication is the second stage of De-addiction treatment. Under the supervision of expert doctors, the patients go through an extensive course of anti-alcoholism medicines. The response time of such medication varies from one individual to another. It also depends on the parameter, that for how long, the patient was on drug intake.
Counselling Therapy:-
Counselling therapy is a vital step at the Nasha Mukti Kendra, to fulfill the recovery process. Halfway through the recovery process, 60%- 80% of the patients relapse and try to quit. The counseling therapy helps patients to make a comeback from relapse and recover completely. Various sessions are organized to appreciate and motivate the efforts of the patients. Patients are encouraged to open up, get rid of their anxiety, stress and adapt to a drug-free life.
The Integrative treatment:-
The constant courage to say ‘NO’ to alcohol and starting a new life, asks a lot of patience, care, love, and understanding. The integrative treatment covers it all through our undivided attention, love, and care for all the patients.
